Thin Lizzy

Hammersmith Odeon - Monday 15th November 1976 - NME

MONDAY NIGHT and everything, worked right for Thin Lizzy's second night out of their three at Hammersmith Odeon.  The problems with the lighting set-up that had plagued them the previous night were gone, and the band thundered with the buzz that mature bands always give off when the previous gig's been at all awry.

The reaction was almost staggeringly enthusiastic. A strong showing of faces in the crowd from their New Year Olympia bash just down the road suggested that maybe Thin Lizzy was the only combo to play that near debacle of ennui and emerge at all strengthened from the experience.

The set was the same as CSM saw when he reviewed the first night last week. It may be worth noting that on "Sha La La" a Clover stepped up and gave a most mean black leather gloved harp show.

Suffice to say that, Charlie's eulogies over the band were not in the least misplaced.
